Disclaimer

York Anglo-Scandinavian Society was founded in 1960, and our membership includes both native British and native Scandinavians resident temporarily or permanently in York. The Society offers a full programme of meetings and lively discussions which enable members to share experiences and expand their knowledge of issues such as life, culture and geography of the Scandinavian countries.

Through our affiliation to CoScan (the Confederation of Scandinavian Societies of Great Britain and Ireland) we are in touch with the many other societies who share our aims.

We should be delighted to see you as a guest, and, of course, if you would like to become a member of the Society we would be only too pleased to have you join us. We are looking forward to hearing from you!

The Aim of the Society:
To promote friendship and understanding
between the British and Scandinavian peoples
